“ Carpentersville has a few okay Chinese restaurants, and this is one that's pretty basic but not as bad as it looks to be honest. It was actually a lot better than it seemed like. New China is located in a shopping center close to things like a Wal-Mart. Even so, forget about the image before you try it. The food we got was better than it looks in a few pictures. After placing a to go order, I came. It was pretty empty inside, as in no customers were actually inside. They were only accepting to go orders, so that's why. Basic kind of Chinese American items. We got the Fried Tofu With Vegetables. It's about $10 for the only portion. This is the kind of Chinese place that only has the one portion for tofu items, and it's large enough for two. It wasn't bad for all that honestly, helped because there was a lot. This was kind of greasy but okay. Getting orders from here isn't that bad except for those wanting dining in. It's only to go orders. The dining room isn't anything special anyway though. ”
